You might have used the well known “Google Translate” to translate languages to your mother tongue, French, or English. But have you ever used Google Translate for leisure and/or comedy? Are you interested? Here’s how you do it:
Did you laugh? Did you like it? Are you interested? There’s even a channel on YouTube that also translates songs and other things! The link is https://www.youtube.com/user/malineka146 . Thank you! By Daniel Alvi, Grade 6 By Daniel Alvi, Grade 6 The most common trend showing up in ISP is wearing black, from head to toe. Personally, I think this is great. Fashionwise, black is a very neutral color, and goes well with white, gold, pink, grey, etc. Don’t believe me? Ask the teachers and the students, and then they’ll probably start noticing it, once they spend some time in the world of tendance.
If you have gone trend scouting, and found new trends, please notify me at [email protected] By Daniel Alvi A recently taken survey shows what people think about sushi. 52 people replied to the survey showing that around 75% of Grade 6 like sushi, and 11.5% do not. It is also shown that 45.1% like everything about sushi, 17.6% like the rice most about sushi, and 11.8% like the fish the most. About dislikes, 23.1% like spice and wasabi the least about sushi, 17.3% like the fish least, and 11.5% like the seaweed the least. In conclusion, because Grade 6 is such a big grade, students have lots of different tastes and opinions on sushi.

By Itamar Schrotter The Flash is an iconic character in DC comics. He was featured in several live-action series, the main ones being: The Flash (1990), Smallville (guest starred in 2004) and by far the most successful, The Flash (2014). Lately, he has been featured in several DCEU films, portrayed by Ezra Miller, and has made his debut as a main character in Justice League (2017). The CW’s The Flash is the second addition to the superhero Arrowverse, joining Arrow (2012). Currently, The Flash is on break. The latest episode aired was True Colors - season 4, episode 13.
From the first episode ‘The Flash Reborn’ we can see that the tone of this season is leaning much more towards comedy. This was done possibly to compensate for the dark, depressing tone in season 3, which was criticised by viewers. It seems they are going for a similar theme to season 1. In the episode we see how Team Flash is dealing with the loss of Barry, six months after he entered the speed force. Cisco frees Barry from the speed force, seemingly stopping the need for a speedster to be involved. I felt frustrated, as this was a huge plot point in season 3, which was just shrugged off. When Barry comes back, the series starts to pick up the pace. Though I felt cheated by Barry’s immediate return, I think that without him the show wouldn’t keep viewers’ interest for long. Finally, after four seasons a personal wish of mine has been granted; Barry gets a full new suit. I think it looks amazing, very similar to the one we saw in season 3 when Barry goes to the future. We get to see it’s utilities and hidden gadgets go haywire in episode 2. It’s a lot of fun, but the villain isn’t compelling. Episode 3 ‘Luck be a Lady’ is one of my favorites because it has, in my opinion, the best villain on the show yet. She is so compelling, I rooted for her the entire episode. Every time she is on-screen there is a sense of awe and injustice. There are immensely high stakes in this episode, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wally leaving the team was a good choice because he doesn’t fit in the “season 1 theme” they were going for. Ralph Dibny, the ‘Elongated Man’ is introduced in this episode. Upon first viewing I didn’t like the character at all, but luckily as the season progresses he proves that he has a place in Team Flash. Breacher as a guest star is entertaining but he doesn’t do much for the plot. In episode 5, Amunet Black is introduced. She intrigued me in the beginning of the season but overall is a bit dull and does not bring high stakes to the episode. Caitlin’s conflict with Killer Frost is alluring and Danielle Panabaker’s exquisite performance adds much to the series. She is one of the most compelling characters on the show. Black Bison, episode 6’s villain, is downright boring. The council of Wells is funny but it only really matters in the end of the episode when we finally see the Thinker living a normal life, away from his glowing lair with tubes sticking out of his head. In episode 7, ‘Therefore I am’ the Thinker’s story moves forward satisfyingly. Seeing DeVoe’s side of the story was refreshing, giving us, in my opinion, the best episode so far. The “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover continues on The Flash in episode 8. It has good action with everyone fighting together and some interesting story elements but overall it just feels like an excuse for a crossover. Episode 9 features the first time Flash and the Thinker have been face to face. Team Flash’s dilemma is engaging and does well to raise the stakes. The episode is gripping but it is clear that it exists to serve the twist at the end of the episode. ‘The Trial of the Flash’ is intense, not from the action, but the storytelling. It depicts an engaging battle to clear Barry’s name and tops it off with an impactful ending. Barry’s life in prison is interesting and sad, but the rest of episode 11 is centered around Ralph fighting the trickster and his mom, the worst villains so far. ‘Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash’ has good light hearted humor along with a successful finale of Barry’s prison storyline. In ‘True Colors’ Barry finally comes home. While Barry and the bus metas being sold to Amunet Black was a good twist, the escape was unexciting and a missed opportunity. Hazard gave us another breath of fresh air but was then “possessed” by the Thinker and wasted. Cecille’s sudden powers are an interesting temporary addition to the character. Ralph continues his character arc by freeing Barry and proving himself to be a hero. I think ‘The Flash’ is a fun series. It used to have confusing plots centered around time travel and the multiverse, however in season 4 they have simplified everything and made the whole show much more lighthearted. While this is mainly positive, the oversimplification of things sometimes make the show lose its depth. After 3 seasons of speedster villains and Barry saying: “I’m not fast enough”, the creators chose to have the Thinker as the big bad. The fastest man versus the fastest mind. He’s a good villain. When we see his side of the story, it's hard not to sympathize with him. Overall this show is great; the actors are amazing and the characters themselves are fascinating and funny in their own way. While I personally miss the sophisticated plots from previous seasons, The Flash still has tons of charm. There’s just something about this show that has me hooked and coming back every season. Despite its flaws, The Flash is an amazing show that is funny, emotional and interesting. My final verdict is 9/10. |
